The Sound of Music | Two-Disc Special Edition DVD | 1965 | Julie Andrews & Christopher Plummer | New & Sealed

Sent from a Salzburg abbey to become governess to seven children, Maria finds a household ruled by the strict routines of their widowed father, Captain von Trapp. With warmth, imagination and music, she begins to win the children over and bring new life to their home. Against the Austrian landscape and a changing political world, The Sound of Music follows a family discovering courage, affection and a shared voice.

Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer star in Robert Wise's 1965 musical, with Eleanor Parker and Peggy Wood. The songs of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II give the story its enduring appeal, from Do-Re-Mi and My Favorite Things to Edelweiss and Climb Every Mountain. This listing is for the two-disc special edition DVD.
