The Last Waltz | DVD | The Band | Martin Scorsese Concert Film | New & Sealed

Celebrate a remarkable farewell in The Last Waltz, Martin Scorsese’s 1978 concert documentary about The Band. Centred on the group’s farewell performance at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom on Thanksgiving in 1976, the film captures a gathering of musicians whose shared history reaches across rock, blues and folk.

The Band are joined by guests including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Neil Young and Muddy Waters. Scorsese brings a filmmaker’s eye to the performances, turning the occasion into more than a record of a concert: it becomes a portrait of a musical community and the closing of a chapter in the group’s performing history.
