The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy DVD 2-Disc Edition (2005) | Dir. Garth Jennings | Buena Vista | 12 Cert | New & Sealed

The big-screen adaptation of Douglas Adams' beloved comic science fiction novel. Directed by Garth Jennings from a screenplay by Adams and Karey Kirkpatrick, the film follows hapless Earthman Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman) as his house — and then his planet — is demolished, and he finds himself hitchhiking across the galaxy with his alien friend Ford Prefect (Mos Def), the anarchic Zaphod Beeblebrox (Sam Rockwell) and the brilliant Trillian (Zooey Deschanel).

Also featuring Bill Nighy as Slartibartfast, Alan Rickman as the voice of Marvin and Stephen Fry as the voice of the Guide, this 2-disc special edition from Buena Vista / Touchstone is the definitive home video edition of Adams' intergalactic comedy on DVD.
