Made in Dagenham | DVD (2010) | Sally Hawkins & Bob Hoskins | Nigel Cole | 15 | New & Sealed

One factory’s fight for fair pay becomes a story of courage, friendship and collective resolve in Made in Dagenham. Inspired by the 1968 Ford Dagenham sewing machinists’ strike, this British comedy-drama stars Sally Hawkins as Rita O’Grady, a worker who becomes an unlikely leader when the women challenge unequal pay.

Directed by Nigel Cole, the film balances humour with the pressures of standing up for change, at work and at home. Bob Hoskins and Miranda Richardson join a British ensemble as Rita and her colleagues take their campaign beyond the factory gates and into the political spotlight.
