Disappearing Acts | DVD | 2000 | Wesley Snipes & Sanaa Lathan | Gina Prince-Bythewood | 15 | New & Sealed

Falling in love is only the beginning in Disappearing Acts. Wesley Snipes plays Franklin Swift, a construction worker struggling to find stability, while Sanaa Lathan is Zora Banks, a music teacher with ambitions as a singer and songwriter. Their attraction brings them together, but the pressures of work, money and the past test what they are building.

Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and adapted from Terry McMillan's novel, this 2000 romantic drama looks beyond the first spark of romance to the compromises and trust that a relationship demands. Its character-focused story gives Franklin and Zora room to pursue their own dreams while confronting the difficulties of sharing a life.
