Carry On Matron | Special Edition DVD | 1972 | Sid James, Kenneth Williams & Hattie Jacques | New & Sealed

A maternity hospital becomes the unlikely target of a criminal scheme in Carry On Matron. Sid and his gang plan to steal Finisham Maternity Hospital’s stock of contraceptive pills, but their attempt to infiltrate the wards leads to disguises, misunderstandings and increasingly ridiculous situations.

Directed by Gerald Thomas and written by Talbot Rothwell, this 1972 British comedy brings together Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Hattie Jacques, Charles Hawtrey and Barbara Windsor. The hospital setting gives the familiar Carry On team plenty of room for farce, with the gang’s plans colliding with the everyday chaos of doctors, nurses and patients.
