Tyondai Braxton: Telekinesis LP | Vinyl | Nonesuch Records | 2022 | New & Sealed

Tyondai Braxton: Telekinesis (Vinyl LP)

A landmark work of contemporary classical music, released on Nonesuch Records in 2022. Telekinesis is an ambitious 87-piece composition for electric guitars, orchestra, choir and electronics, performed by the Metropolis Ensemble (conducted by Andrew Cyr), the Brooklyn Youth Chorus (conducted by Dianne Berkun Menaker) and chamber choir The Crossing (conducted by Donald Nally). Co-commissioned by the Southbank Centre London and Musica Nova, Helsinki Festival. The first studio recording of the work.

Tyondai Braxton — formerly of art rock group Battles and son of avant-garde jazz legend Anthony Braxton — fuses minimalism, post-rock and electroacoustic composition into something entirely singular. New & sealed.
