A Christmas Carol (2020) | DVD | 1 Disc | Jacqui & David Morris | New & Sealed

Charles Dickens’ festive ghost story takes an imaginative new form in A Christmas Carol (2020), from Jacqui Morris and David Morris. In Victorian England, two siblings prepare a toy-theatre performance of the tale, narrated by their grandmother. As one child’s imagination takes over, the story opens into a world of modern dance, dramatic storytelling and familiar Dickens characters.

Featuring a voice cast including Simon Russell Beale, Carey Mulligan, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Andy Serkis, Leslie Caron and Siân Phillips, this adaptation offers a distinctive way to revisit the story. Its combination of miniature theatre and expressive movement makes it particularly appealing to viewers interested in dance, literary adaptations and a different kind of seasonal film.
