Uncle Buck | DVD | John Candy & Macaulay Culkin | John Hughes Comedy | New & Sealed

An unexpected babysitting assignment puts an unconventional uncle in charge in Uncle Buck. John Candy stars as Buck Russell, called upon to look after his brother’s three children during a family emergency. His untidy habits and larger-than-life approach make him anything but an ordinary substitute parent.

Written and directed by John Hughes, this 1989 comedy finds its humour in the clash between Buck’s rough edges and the responsibilities suddenly placed on him. Macaulay Culkin, Amy Madigan, Gaby Hoffmann and Jean Kelly join the cast in a story that combines domestic mishaps with the warmth of an unlikely caregiver finding his place.
