Erin Brockovich | DVD (2000) | Julia Roberts, Albert Finney & Aaron Eckhart | Steven Soderbergh | 15 Cert | New & Sealed

A file-clerk job at a small law firm leads Erin Brockovich to evidence of contaminated water affecting a California community. With no conventional legal background, she follows the paperwork, listens to the residents and refuses to let their concerns disappear. Erin Brockovich brings a real-life investigation into focus through the determination of the woman at its centre.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, this 2000 drama stars Julia Roberts in her Academy Award-winning performance, alongside Albert Finney and Aaron Eckhart. Humour, frustration and personal resolve shape a story in which the people behind the case matter as much as the evidence. It combines the momentum of a legal investigation with an engaging portrait of persistence against powerful opposition.
