Eels: Electro-Shock Blues

Intimate songwriting and alternative-rock textures meet on Electro-Shock Blues, Eels' 1998 album. Centred on themes of grief and loss, the record moves between hushed reflection and more restless moments, with Mark “E” Everett's personal approach giving the songs a distinctive emotional thread.

From the opening Elizabeth on the Bathroom Floor through Last Stop: This Town to the quietly hopeful P.S. You Rock My World, the sixteen-track sequence rewards listening as a whole.
