Beautiful Girls | DVD (1996) | Matt Dillon, Timothy Hutton, Natalie Portman & Uma Thurman | Ted Demme | 15 Cert | New & Sealed

Returning home for a high school reunion means more than catching up with old friends. In Beautiful Girls, a group of childhood friends reunite in a small Massachusetts town and find themselves confronting the gap between the lives they imagined and the ones they are living. Questions of love, commitment and growing up turn familiar surroundings into a place for fresh reflection.

Directed by Ted Demme and written by Scott Rosenberg, this 1996 comedy drama brings together Matt Dillon, Timothy Hutton, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman in a wide-ranging ensemble. Its appeal lies in the conversations and connections between characters: old loyalties, uncertain relationships and the awkward business of deciding what comes next.
